Purpose

Dalisay Shipping Corporation, incorporated in December 27, 1996, is an established full scale manning agency. Duly accredited by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) to recruit and deploy qualified seafarers for international vessels, it provides quality and cost effective operations adaptable to the needs of principals and ship owners.

To assure excellent service, the company embarks to deploy onboard competent, qualified, duly certified and medically fit seafarers. Crew are required to attend in-house training, pre-employment briefings and continuous education and trainings to update their knowledge and hone their skills.

To ensure efficient crew management, Dalisay Shipping Corporation established the management policy to be the guiding principle of every employee in the Manning agency in their day to day activities in order to provide quality service to its clients.

1. POLICIES ON RECRUITMENT AND DEPLOYMENT

1.1 Recruitment of qualified seamen, including STCW, ISM and English ability
1.2 Submission of all applicants resume for company's evaluation
1.3 Documents of applicants forwarded to top management for approval
1.4 All approved candidates must be physically and mentally fit for sea duty.
1.5 All approved candidates must have valid documents for the whole duration of their contract.
1.6 Appropriate training for seafarers prior to their engagement to respective vessels.
1.7 The crew allotment and pay slip are sent on time.
1.8 Hospitalization of medical repatriated seafarers will be conducted in the accredited P and I Club hospital upon arrival in the country. Documents must be prepared for the company upon declaration of attending physician that the seafarer is fit to work.
1.9 The Company will be represented in all legal matters pertaining to Crew Management.


2. OTHER RULES AND PROCEDURES

2.1 Pre-departure Orientation Seminar will be conducted for the departing crew, in accordance with the requirement of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).
2.2 Employment contract signed by the crew must be in accordance with:
1) POEA rules and regulations and
2) Other existing relevant laws of the Philippines.
